The story is set in the Edo-era Japan. The protagonist, Manji, is a warrior who has a great advantage over its rivals: no wound can kill. In the past, killed 100 other samurais, including the husband of his sister. An elderly nun, which is said to have 800 years, gives the gift of immortality by kessenchū called worms, which heal any wound and to restore even the amputation amputees members have been hours ago.
